Monrovia, Liberia – The Political Leader of the People’s Economic Movement (PEM) and Senator of Sinoe County, Crayton Oldman Duncan, has called on members of the Party’s Executive Committee, Montserrado County District Coordinators, and Mobilizers to believe in their abilities, remain focused on the Movement’s mission, and intensify grassroots efforts to advance the Party’s vision for national transformation.
Speaking during a meeting with Executive Committee members, District Coordinators, and Mobilizers at his residence on Saturday, Senator Duncan described PEM as a movement dedicated to transforming Liberia through political education, economic empowerment, civic engagement, and responsible leadership.
He emphasized that the Movement’s success depends not only on its leadership but also on the commitment, discipline, and determination of members working across communities to promote the Party’s ideals.
Encouraging party officials to reject self-doubt, Senator Duncan urged them to recognize the important role they play in shaping Liberia’s future.
“Believe in yourselves. Be confident in your abilities, understand the mission of this Movement, and remain focused on the goals we have set for our country. We are not building an ordinary political organization; we are building a revolutionary movement that will politically, economically, and socially enlighten Liberians,” Senator Duncan said.
He noted that Liberia’s progress requires citizens who are politically informed, economically empowered, and actively engaged in national development. According to him, PEM is committed to promoting self-reliance, critical thinking, responsible leadership, and greater citizen participation in governance.
The Sinoe County Senator further encouraged District Coordinators and Mobilizers to strengthen their engagement with communities by listening to citizens’ concerns, communicating the Party’s policies clearly, and expanding grassroots support for the Movement.
Senator Duncan also cautioned party officials against being discouraged by political criticism or temporary setbacks, stressing that meaningful national transformation demands patience, discipline, resilience, and unwavering commitment to principle.
He reminded members that every Coordinator and Mobilizer represents the People’s Economic Movement and must therefore demonstrate integrity, respect, accountability, and dedication in their service to the Liberian people.
According to Senator Duncan, the long-term success of PEM will depend on its ability to build a broad-based network of politically conscious citizens who understand that Liberia’s future must be shaped through collective participation rather than the efforts of a few individuals.
He concluded by urging members to remain united and committed to the Party’s objectives as they work toward building a Liberia where citizens are empowered to determine their own economic and political destiny.
Senator Duncan made the remarks on Saturday during a meeting with the Party’s Executive Committee members, Montserrado County District Coordinators, and Mobilizers at his residence.
