Harper Maryland – Maryland County Superintendent Hon. Nathaniel S. Toe Jr. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, welcomed a five-member delegation from the Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) as part of an awareness campaign aimed at increasing female recruitment into the military.
Led by Junior Aloysius Morris, the delegation is engaging women, youth, elders, and community leaders across the county to promote career opportunities within the AFL. The outreach campaign is expected to reach at least 100 participants.
Superintendent Toe praised the initiative and assured the delegation of the full support of the Maryland County Administration, emphasizing the government’s commitment to mobilizing residents and encouraging broad community participation.
The Maryland County Local Government also applauded the Armed Forces of Liberia for advancing inclusive recruitment efforts, noting that expanding opportunities for women in national service is a meaningful step toward gender equality, empowerment, and a stronger security sector.
