Monrovia, Liberia – The President of the National Custom Brokers Association, James L. Hinneh, has officially launched the Voices of Change Training Program, a youth empowerment initiative aimed at equipping young Liberians with the leadership skills and confidence needed to drive positive change across the country.
The program, an initiative of the Hon. James L. Hinneh Foundation, welcomed nearly 50 participants into its first cohort, marking the beginning of a month-long leadership development journey focused on nurturing the next generation of changemakers.
Speaking at the launch, Hinneh described the initiative as a reflection of the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to investing in Liberia’s future through its youth. He emphasized that empowering young people with practical knowledge, leadership skills, and meaningful opportunities is essential to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
Participants will receive hands-on training in public speaking, leadership, effective communication, and personal development. The program is designed to prepare them to lead with confidence, inspire positive action, and make lasting contributions to their communities.
“This initiative is more than just a training program; it is an investment in the next generation of leaders who will help shape a stronger, more prosperous Liberia,” Hinneh said.
The Foundation is implementing the initiative in partnership with the Mama Marie Foundation, underscoring a shared commitment to empowering young people and helping them realize their full potential.
Hinneh encouraged members of Cohort One to embrace the opportunity for growth, reminding them that the journey ahead is one of purpose, leadership, and impact.
The Voices of Change Training Program is expected to strengthen youth leadership and civic engagement by developing confident, principled, and community-focused leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to Liberia’s national development.
