FISH TOWN, River Gee County — The leadership of the River Gee Students Association at Tubman University (RIGTUSA) has commended the River Gee County Administration for providing financial support to students pursuing higher education across Liberia.
The students, led by RIGTUSA President Isaiah Sneh, on Wednesday met with River Gee County
Superintendent Mike T. Swengbe at the County Administrative Building in Fish Town, where they expressed appreciation for the county’s contribution to student assistance programs.
President Sneh praised Superintendent Swengbe and the county administration for ensuring River Gee’s share of the financial support provided to 10 universities nationwide, describing the initiative as a relief to students and a demonstration of the administration’s commitment to education.
Responding, Superintendent Swengbe congratulated the students for their dedication and leadership, assuring them that the county remains committed to supporting education.
He disclosed that additional assistance would be considered once the county receives its 2026 allotment from the National Government.
The Superintendent also briefed the delegation on ongoing efforts to address outstanding education benefits owed by Cavalla Rubber Corporation (CRC), assuring students that the county administration is actively pursuing the matter.
“Education remains a top priority for this administration. We will continue to support our students and pursue all outstanding benefits due our people,” Swengbe stated.
The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to working together to promote the educational advancement of River Gee students.
