Eleven Liberian Scholars Begin Master’s Programmes Under Ireland Fellows Programme

MONROVIA, LIBERIA: Eleven Liberian professionals selected for the 2026/2027 Ireland Fellows Programme have arrived in Ireland and officially begun their respective master’s degree programmes.

The new cohort recently took part in the programme’s orientation activities, joining Fellows from dozens of countries around the world for an introductory session designed to welcome participants and prepare them for their academic experience in Ireland.

The orientation provided the Liberian Fellows an opportunity to meet other international scholars, exchange experiences, and become acquainted with the Ireland Fellows community as they commence their postgraduate studies.

The Ireland Fellows Programme offers fully funded opportunities for eligible professionals from participating countries to pursue master’s-level education in Ireland, with the broader aim of developing future leaders and strengthening professional capacity in support of national and international development.

Meanwhile, the application process for the 2027/2028 Ireland Fellows Programme has closed for Liberian candidates.

The next opportunity for Liberians interested in the programme will come in summer 2027, when applications for the 2028/2029 academic year are expected to open.

The arrival of the eleven Fellows marks another milestone in Liberia’s participation in the Ireland Fellows Programme, providing selected Liberian professionals with access to advanced academic training and international exposure.
