Rep. Foday E. Fahnbulleh Donates 600 Bags of Rice to Elderly in Bong District #7 Ahead of Independence Day

BONG COUNTY, Liberia – In commemoration of Liberia’s 179th Independence Day, Bong County Electoral District #7 Representative, Hon. Foday E. Fahnbulleh, has donated 600 bags of 25kg rice, valued at L$1.5 million, to elderly citizens across his constituency.

The donation, made on July 23, 2026, is expected to benefit senior citizens in Fuamah and Sanoyea, as well as several surrounding towns and villages within District #7.

Speaking during the presentation, Rep. Fahnbulleh described the initiative as part of his annual Independence Day outreach, aimed at honoring the elderly and recognizing their invaluable contributions to the growth and development of their communities.

He said the rice will be distributed to elderly residents throughout the district to ensure they are able to celebrate the nation’s Independence Day with dignity and joy.

The lawmaker emphasized that supporting senior citizens remains one of his priorities, noting that they deserve continued care, respect, and appreciation for their lifelong sacrifices and service to society.

The donation forms part of Rep. Fahnbulleh’s longstanding tradition of extending humanitarian assistance to vulnerable residents during Liberia’s Independence Day celebrations, reflecting his commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents.

Residents and beneficiaries welcomed the gesture, describing it as timely support that will ease the burden on many elderly families as the nation prepares to celebrate its 179th Independence Anniversary on July 26.
