LRA Revives Staff Knowledge Exchange Initiative to Improve Workplace Performance

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has relaunched its Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) as part of efforts to improve staff expertise, strengthen institutional learning, and promote the exchange of professional knowledge across the agency.

Led by the Human Resources Division, the initiative enables employees returning from overseas training, workshops, and other professional development programs to transfer the skills, experiences, and practical lessons they have acquired to their colleagues.

The program is intended to ensure that knowledge gained through staff development opportunities benefits the wider institution and contributes to more effective operations and service delivery.

The first round of sessions brought together personnel from the Logistics Unit of the General Services Department and the Natural Resources Division of the Domestic Tax Department, who presented lessons learned from their respective training experiences.

Speaking during the opening session, Sampson S. Klay, Jr., Manager of the Training and Capacity Development Unit within the Human Resources Division, said the initiative would help preserve institutional knowledge, encourage ongoing professional development, and promote the practical application of newly acquired skills.

Klay emphasized that training produces greater organizational value when employees share their experiences and apply what they have learned to improve workplace procedures and overall performance.

The program comes as the LRA pursues its Corporate Strategic Plan for 2025–2029, which supports the Authority’s broader responsibility to strengthen domestic revenue mobilization.

Through the renewed initiative, the LRA aims to build a more capable workforce, encourage collaboration across departments, and ensure that investments in employee development deliver lasting benefits to the institution.
