Cesto, River Cess – River Cess County Superintendent Byron W. Zahnwea has appointed Melvin Togar Cephas as Chairman of the county’s Sports Steering Committee ahead of the 2026–2027 National County Sports Meet.
Cephas will lead a four-member committee that includes Emmanuel W. Bartee as co-chairman, Alberto Saynadyuo Dixon as secretary, and D. Cyrus Fanciah as assistant secretary.
The committee has been entrusted with coordinating River Cess County’s preparations and participation in the country’s premier inter-county sporting competition.
County officials noted that while the other committee members previously served on the steering committee during the National County Sports Meet hosted in Maryland County, Cephas is the new chairman expected to provide leadership and direction for the county’s campaign.
The county administration has expressed confidence in Cephas and his team, urging them to work diligently and calling on River Cess citizens to unite behind the committee in pursuit of a successful outing at the National County Sports Meet.
