NCBAL President Commends LRA for Advancing Strategic Partnership Through 2025–2029 Corporate Plan Launch

MONROVIA, Liberia – The President of the National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia (NCBAL), Mr. James L. Hinneh, has applauded the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) for its continued commitment to strengthening collaboration with stakeholders following the official launch of the Authority’s Corporate Strategic Plan 2025–2029.

The launch, held at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Monrovia, brought together senior government officials, development partners, private sector representatives, and key actors within Liberia’s trade and customs community to unveil the LRA’s strategic roadmap for the next five years.

Representing the National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia, President Hinneh attended the ceremony alongside the Association’s Vice President and Secretary General, underscoring NCBAL’s unwavering commitment to fostering constructive dialogue and sustaining a productive partnership with the Liberia Revenue Authority.

Speaking after the event, Mr. Hinneh described the Strategic Plan as a significant milestone in advancing institutional excellence, improving revenue administration, and enhancing trade facilitation in Liberia.

“The National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia commends the Liberia Revenue Authority for its continued collaboration and engagement with stakeholders. As indispensable partners in Liberia’s customs and trade ecosystem, we firmly believe that the successful implementation of the LRA’s Corporate Strategic Plan will depend on sustained public-private sector cooperation, mutual trust, and continuous dialogue.”

He reaffirmed NCBAL’s commitment to supporting reforms that promote efficiency, transparency, predictability, compliance, and the modernization of customs processes in line with international best practices.

“NCBAL remains ready to work closely with the Liberia Revenue Authority and all relevant institutions in advancing reforms that strengthen revenue mobilization, facilitate legitimate trade, improve border management, and create a more competitive business environment for Liberia,” he added.

Mr. Hinneh emphasized that effective collaboration between customs authorities and licensed customs brokers is essential to achieving national development objectives, improving voluntary compliance, and fostering economic growth through efficient trade facilitation.

The National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia reaffirmed its dedication to serving as a strategic partner to the Liberia Revenue Authority in implementing initiatives that support sustainable revenue generation while ensuring a transparent, predictable, and efficient customs administration that benefits government, the business community, and the Liberian people.
