Monrovia, Liberia – Ahead of Liberia’s 179th Independence Day celebration on July 26, 2026, Dr. E.O. Kingsley, President of GAP Global Inc., has called on Liberians to embrace what he describes as an “Independence of Restoration”—a vision centered on national renewal, unity, and shared prosperity.
In his Independence Day message, Dr. Kingsley said this year’s celebration should go beyond the traditional observance of Liberia’s sovereignty and instead mark the beginning of a new era of restoration for the country.
According to him, the “Independence of Restoration” represents a collective commitment to rebuilding Liberia’s national identity, strengthening social cohesion, revitalizing the economy, and restoring hope among citizens.
He stressed that the vision is not rooted in politics but in the shared responsibility of all Liberians to uphold justice, preserve the nation’s rich cultural heritage, and create opportunities that allow every citizen to thrive.
Dr. Kingsley urged Liberians to reflect on the country’s journey while working together to build a stronger and more united nation, where resilience, peace, and progress define the future.
“As we celebrate the freedom won by our forefathers, let us also commit ourselves to restoring the soul of our nation and building a Liberia that stands as a beacon of hope and prosperity,” he said

Concluding his message, Dr. Kingsley offered prayers for the nation, saying: “God bless the Republic of Liberia, God bless the land, and God bless all Liberians. In love, peace, and unity we stand.”
Liberia will commemorate its 179th Independence Anniversary on Saturday, July 26, under nationwide celebrations reflecting on the country’s history while looking toward its future.
