Monrovia, Liberia – Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Yin Chengwu, has reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Liberia’s development agenda while addressing the 16th Golden Image Award ceremony.
The event, held on July 22, was attended by Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, House Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, senior government officials, diplomats, and other distinguished guests.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Yin described the Golden Image Award as an important platform that recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to peace and national development. He expressed confidence that the initiative would inspire more young Liberians to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to the country’s progress.
The Chinese envoy also highlighted the longstanding friendship between China and Liberia, noting that both countries have continued to strengthen bilateral relations through practical cooperation founded on mutual respect.
Ambassador Yin reiterated China’s commitment to supporting Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) and pledged continued efforts to deepen the strategic partnership between the two nations.
As part of the ceremony, the Ambassador presented awards to several honorees in recognition of their contributions to Liberia’s peace and development at the invitation of the event organizers.
