BUTAW DISTRICT, Sinoe County, July 5, 2026 — Sinoe County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan has officially commissioned two landmark development projects in Butaw District, reinforcing efforts to strengthen local governance and expand critical public infrastructure across the county.
The dedicated facilities include the newly constructed Butaw Administrative Building in Butaw Compound and a Mini Town Hall in Butaw Bloah, both formally turned over during a highly attended ceremony on Sunday.

The event attracted a cross-section of residents, traditional leaders, youth and women groups, local authorities, and stakeholders, who gathered to witness what many described as a transformative step in decentralizing governance and improving community administration.

In a strong demonstration of appreciation, the people of Butaw, through their Council of Elders, unanimously renamed the administrative structure the Crayton Oldman Duncan Administrative Building, honoring the Senator for his sustained contributions to infrastructure development and public service delivery in the district and beyond.
The announcement was met with enthusiastic applause, with residents describing the decision as a lasting tribute to leadership that has translated promises into tangible development outcomes.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Senator Duncan expressed deep appreciation for the honor, describing it as a profound gesture that further strengthens his commitment to the people of Butaw. He pledged to ensure the facility meets modern standards befitting its significance and designation.

To that effect, the Senator announced that he will personally undertake additional upgrades to the structure, including the provision of floor tiles, ceiling fans, air conditioning units, and other essential furnishings to enhance its functionality and comfort.

Community leaders and residents hailed the projects as timely and impactful, noting that the Administrative Building and Mini Town Hall will significantly improve public administration, enhance coordination of local governance, and provide a structured space for civic engagement, dispute resolution, and development planning.

The commissioning of the facilities underscores Senator Duncan’s continued drive to expand infrastructure development and strengthen institutional presence at the local level across Sinoe County.
