Cestol River Cess – The River Cess County Sports Steering Committee, under the leadership of its Chairman, Melvin Cephu, has constituted a Social Mobilization and Marketing Committee as part of preparations for this year’s National County Sports Meet.
The committee has been established to spearhead efforts aimed at mobilizing River Cess citizens, both at home and across the diaspora, to actively support the county’s participation in the annual sporting event.
As part of its mandate, the committee will lead a comprehensive mobilization campaign to encourage River Cessians around the world to rally behind the county’s football and kickball teams by attending matches, promoting unity, and providing moral and financial support throughout the competition.
In addition to its mobilization responsibilities, the committee will work closely with the Press and Publicity Committee to market and distribute official promotional materials for River Cess’ participation in the National County Sports Meet. Proceeds from these initiatives will help generate the financial resources needed to support the county’s campaign.

Announcing the committee’s formation, River Cess County Sports Steering Committee Chairman Melvin Cephu said the initiative demonstrates the committee’s commitment to ensuring that River Cess is well organized and strongly supported throughout the National County Sports Meet.
Chairman Cephu emphasized that the success of the county’s campaign will depend not only on the performance of the athletes but also on the collective support of River Cess citizens and friends of the county. He called on all River Cessians, regardless of where they reside, to unite behind the county by participating in mobilization activities, purchasing official promotional materials, and contributing to fundraising efforts.
“The National County Sports Meet is an opportunity for us to showcase not only our sporting talent but also the unity and resilience of the people of River Cess,” Chairman Cephu said. “I encourage every son and daughter of River Cess to join this effort and help make this year’s campaign a memorable success.”
The River Cess County Sports Steering Committee expressed confidence that the Social Mobilization and Marketing Committee will play a pivotal role in building a strong support base, enhancing public participation, and ensuring that River Cess is well represented both on and off the field during this year’s National County Sports Meet.
