Rev. Philip Blamo Questions Lawmakers’ Priorities Amid Saudi Rice Case and Guinea Border Concerns

MONROVIA, Liberia — Montserrado County District #15 Representative Aspirant Rev. Philip Blamo has raised concerns over the priorities of Liberian lawmakers, drawing attention to the contrast between efforts to remove legislative leaders and the need to address national security concerns along the Liberia–Guinea border.

Blamo’s statement refers specifically to lawmakers and the removal of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, questioning whether political leadership disputes are receiving more attention than issues affecting the country’s territorial integrity and citizens’ welfare.

“You can remove Speakers anytime, but you cannot peacefully and diplomatically remove the Guinean Army from our border,” Blamo stated.

His remarks call for lawmakers to place citizens’ interests first and give greater attention to diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving border concerns.
