Representative Kerkula M. Kamara Hosts Legislative Constituency Engagement to Strengthen Citizen Participation

Monrovia, Liberia – Representative Kerkula M. Kamara of Montserrado County Electoral District #14 has convened a one-day Legislative Constituency Engagement, bringing together a cross-section of community stakeholders to foster dialogue on governance, legislative priorities, and the development needs of the district.

The engagement, organized in collaboration with LEMCO and sponsored by the company, brought together 80 delegates representing communities across District #14. Participants included traditional leaders, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as representatives of community-based organizations (CBOs), churches, and mosques.

The forum provided an interactive platform for constituents to engage directly with Representative Kamara on issues affecting their communities, while offering participants the opportunity to present concerns, propose solutions, and contribute to discussions on legislative and development priorities.

Addressing the gathering, Representative Kamara reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership and participatory governance, emphasizing that sustained engagement with constituents remains essential to ensuring that the voices and aspirations of the people are reflected in legislative decision-making and advocacy.

The initiative also underscored the importance of collaboration among elected officials, community institutions, and citizens in promoting transparency, accountability, and responsive governance.

The Legislative Constituency Engagement forms part of Representative Kamara’s broader efforts to deepen public participation in governance and strengthen the relationship between the Legislature and the people of Montserrado County Electoral District #14.
