MONROVIA, Liberia — The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), through its Human Resources Division, has launched the third phase of its Automated Performance Management System (APMS) Refresher Training and Employee Spotlight Bulletin Initiative, targeting employees in Margibi, Bong, Nimba, and Lofa Counties.
The initiative forms part of the LRA’s broader efforts to strengthen employee capacity, improve performance monitoring, and promote a culture of excellence across the institution.
The APMS refresher sessions are intended to enhance employees’ understanding and practical application of the automated system, enabling staff to more effectively manage performance targets, assessments, and accountability within their respective areas of responsibility.
Alongside the training, the Employee Spotlight Bulletin is being used to recognize and showcase employees who demonstrate exceptional commitment, professionalism, innovation, and results in the discharge of their duties.
Emmanuel Kartoe, Acting Manager of the Performance Management Unit, said the initiative is aimed at building staff capacity while fostering a results-oriented workplace that supports the Authority’s digital transformation agenda.
According to Kartoe, strengthening employees’ knowledge of the APMS will help improve accountability and performance management while contributing to more effective and efficient service delivery across the LRA.
He emphasized that the program is part of the Authority’s continuing efforts to develop a professional workforce capable of meeting institutional goals and responding effectively to the evolving demands of modern revenue administration.
The third phase of the initiative underscores the LRA’s commitment to investing in its employees, embracing digital tools, rewarding outstanding performance, and strengthening a culture of transparency, accountability, and excellence.
Through the combined focus on capacity building and employee recognition, the Authority says it seeks to further enhance workforce productivity and support the successful implementation of its Corporate Strategic Plan.
