BONG COUNTY, Liberia – The Chief of Office Staff to Bong County Electoral District #5 Representative, Isaac Kenesuah, has highlighted what he described as a series of transformative development achievements spearheaded by Representative Eugene J. M. Kollie during his nearly three years in office.
Speaking in an interview with reporters in Bong County, Kenesuah said the lawmaker has consistently prioritized people-centered development by investing in education, youth empowerment, healthcare, infrastructure, and responsive legislative representation.
According to him, one of Representative Kollie’s most impactful interventions has been the expansion of scholarship opportunities for students pursuing both secondary and tertiary education. He said the initiative has enabled dozens of students from disadvantaged backgrounds to remain in school, describing it as a strategic investment in the district’s future workforce and human capital.
Kenesuah noted that youth empowerment remains at the heart of the representative’s development agenda, with several initiatives designed to equip young people with opportunities, practical skills, and support to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to national development.
He further asserted that Representative Kollie has emerged as a strong advocate for the interests of District #5 at the House of Representatives, consistently championing legislation and policies aimed at improving the livelihoods of his constituents while ensuring that the district receives its fair share of national development.
Beyond education and youth development, Kenesuah said the lawmaker continues to pursue improvements in healthcare delivery and infrastructure through collaboration with government institutions and development partners. He explained that these efforts are intended to expand access to essential public services and accelerate development across communities in the district.
Among the projects currently being finalized, Kenesuah revealed that Representative Kollie plans to procure a school bus dedicated to transporting students throughout the district. He said the initiative is expected to significantly reduce transportation challenges, improve punctuality and school attendance, ease the financial burden on parents, and provide students with safe and reliable transportation.
He described the proposed school bus project as one of several initiatives demonstrating the representative’s commitment to removing barriers to education and creating opportunities for children to succeed academically.
Kenesuah reaffirmed that Representative Kollie remains focused on fulfilling the promises made to the people of Electoral District #5, adding that additional development projects are being planned to improve the district’s socio-economic conditions and enhance the quality of life of residents.
He also called on citizens of Bong County, irrespective of political affiliation, to embrace unity and work collectively toward the county’s growth and development.
”Development cannot thrive in an atmosphere of division,” Kenesuah said, urging residents to support initiatives that promote peace, cooperation, and shared prosperity.
Since taking office less than three years ago, Representative Eugene J. M. Kollie has continued to roll out development programs that his office says are aimed at expanding access to education, empowering young people, strengthening healthcare services, improving infrastructure, and laying the foundation for sustainable development across Bong County Electoral District #5.
