Monrovia, Liberia — Sekou S. Kanneh has fulfilled a commitment to the Star Baptist School System in Jacob’s Town, District #2, Montserrado County, with a US$2,500 contribution toward the school’s ongoing development project.
The donation was presented on Thursday, September 10, on behalf of Rep. Kanneh by his Special Assistant, Fredrick K. Tulay, and Executive Secretary, Paul Alex Panto Jr.
The contribution follows a pledge made by Kanneh several months ago when he served as Chief Launcher at a fundraising program organized by the school.
During the program, Kanneh committed to providing 25 percent of the total budget required for the first phase of the school’s elevation project.
The fulfillment of the pledge is being viewed as part of Kanneh’s continued support for educational institutions in District #2, particularly when called upon to contribute to initiatives aimed at improving learning facilities.
The latest contribution is expected to support the Star Baptist School System’s efforts to advance the first phase of its elevation project.
The presentation also underscores the importance of private and community support in complementing efforts to improve educational infrastructure in Montserrado County.
