Grand Kru County – Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) Ambassador K Praise Kaydor has called for what he described as a new era of political leadership in Grand Kru County, urging citizens to reject leaders whom he accused of placing personal interests above the welfare of the people.
In a strongly worded statement, Amb. Kaydor alleged that some politicians have used public office for personal enrichment rather than working to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. He argued that leaders who have failed to deliver meaningful development should not be returned to power.
According to the CMC Ambassador, Grand Kru County has experienced decades of underdevelopment despite repeated promises from elected officials. He maintained that the people deserve accountable leadership that prioritizes transparency, development, and the public interest.
Amb. Kaydor also highlighted the emergence of the Grand Kru Liberation Movement, describing it as a growing grassroots movement that is inspiring many citizens, especially young people, to become more involved in shaping the county’s political future. He expressed confidence that the movement will play a significant role in influencing the political landscape ahead of the 2029 elections.
The CMC Ambassador further claimed that the growing influence of the Grand Kru Liberation Movement has placed political pressure on outgoing Senator Numene T.H. Bartekwa Sr. He alleged that the movement’s increasing popularity has prompted political responses from the senator as the county moves closer to the next election cycle.
Amb. Kaydor said the youth are determined to lead a new chapter in Grand Kru County’s history and called on citizens to remain politically engaged and support leaders they believe will genuinely serve the interests of the county.
The remarks come amid increasing political discussions in Grand Kru County as stakeholders and political actors begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2029 elections.
At the time of publication, Senator Numene T.H. Bartekwa Sr. had not publicly responded to the comments and allegations made by CMC Ambassador K Praise Kaydor.
