MONROVIA, Liberia — Nimba County Senator Samuel G. Kogar has commended 100 officers of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) following the successful completion of intensive marksmanship training conducted by the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).
Senator Kogar served as Special Guest at the graduation ceremony held at Camp Ware in Careysburg, where the officers were formally recognized for completing the specialized training.
In remarks following the ceremony, Senator Kogar congratulated the graduating officers for their discipline, commitment, and successful completion of the training, emphasizing the importance of professionalism among Liberia’s security personnel.
The Nimba County lawmaker said the training represents an important step in strengthening the capacity of Liberia’s security institutions and equipping personnel with skills necessary to effectively perform their duties.
As Co-Chair of the Senate Committee on Security, Intelligence and Veteran Affairs, Senator Kogar reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving Liberia’s security sector.
He stressed that strengthening security institutions requires continued investment in personnel, training, discipline, and professional development.
The graduation brings together officers who have undergone rigorous marksmanship training as part of efforts to enhance operational readiness within the Liberia Immigration Service.
