Monrovia, Liberia — The Officer-in-Charge of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), DCP Fitzgerald T. M. Biago, has strongly rejected allegations circulating on social media questioning his leadership and integrity, describing the claims as “false, misleading, and without credible evidence.”
In a statement issued amid growing public discussions surrounding the allegations, DCP Biago said he remains confident that truth and justice will prevail through due process rather than speculation, misinformation, or public accusations.
The LDEA chief emphasized that throughout his professional career, he has maintained a record of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the rule of law, stressing that he has never accepted any gift, favor, or personal benefit from individuals or criminal networks in exchange for compromising his official duties.
“I categorically reject these allegations as false, misleading, and without credible evidence,” DCP Biago stated, while expressing his readiness to cooperate with any lawful, independent, and impartial investigation into the matter.
According to him, his leadership at the LDEA remains focused on strengthening the agency’s fight against illicit drugs, disrupting criminal networks, and protecting Liberia’s national security.
The LDEA Officer-in-Charge cautioned the public against relying on unverified information circulating through social media platforms, urging citizens to allow competent legal institutions to establish facts whenever concerns arise.
“As Officer-in-Charge of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency, my focus remains steadfast on leading the fight against illicit drugs and dismantling criminal networks that threaten the peace and security of our nation,” he said.
DCP Biago reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and the faithful execution of his responsibilities, assuring Liberians that allegations and intimidation will not distract him or the LDEA from carrying out its mandate.
He maintained that the agency under his leadership will continue working to protect the Republic of Liberia and advance efforts against drug trafficking and related crimes.
