BukonJadeh Group of Companies CEO Elton Johns urges Liberian To Stop Damaging Country’s Image

Monrovia, Liberia – Elton Johns, Chief Executive Officer of the Bukonjedeh Group of Companies, has called on Liberians to embrace patriotism by promoting the country’s positive image instead of spreading negative narratives, which, according to him, discourage investment and hinder national development.

Speaking to reporters during the Bukonjedeh Group’s Customer Appreciation Program in Monrovia, Mr. Johns said while Libe. At the same time, like every other nation, it faces challenges, and citizens have a responsibility to project the country’s strengths and opportunities rather than dwelling solely on its shortcomings.

“Every country has problems, but many people proudly promote the good things about their nation. As Liberians, we must do the same if we want to attract investment and create opportunities for our people,” he said.

Mr. Johns expressed concern over what he described as the growing trend of negative messaging about Liberia, particularly on social media, warning that such narratives create a poor perception of the country among potential investors, development partners, and the international community.

He noted that national development requires collective effort, emphasizing that citizens should become ambassadors for Liberia by encouraging hope, unity, and confidence in the country’s future.

The Bukonjedeh Group CEO also highlighted the company’s humanitarian initiatives and microfinance loan program, stating that the scheme has enabled many Liberians to start new businesses, expand existing enterprises, and improve their livelihoods.

According to him, the company remains committed to empowering entrepreneurs by expanding access to microfinance and creating more economic opportunities across the country.

Mr. Johns said the Bukonjedeh Group will continue to support initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, economic inclusion, and sustainable development, while urging Liberians to work together in building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
