Teahjay Pledges US$1,000 to Sinoe County Sports Committee Ahead of National County Meet

PAYNESVILLE, Liberia — Sinoe County District #3 Representative aspirant Elijah B. Teahjay has pledged US$1,000 to the Sinoe County Sports Steering Committee to support preparations for this year’s National County Sports Meet, with the cash expected to be delivered on Tuesday at his office in Paynesville.

Teahjay announced the donation while speaking at a rally, describing the contribution as an expression of his love for Sinoe County and his desire to support the county’s participation in the national sporting competition.

He called on well-meaning citizens of Sinoe County, businesspeople, philanthropists, and other stakeholders to support the steering committee as it works to prepare a competitive team for this year’s tournament.

According to Teahjay, collective contributions from citizens and other supporters will be important in strengthening the county’s preparations and helping its athletes represent Sinoe on the national stage.

The National County Sports Meet brings together teams from across Liberia to compete in sporting disciplines, promoting athletic talent, county pride, and unity.

Teahjay’s pledge comes as the steering committee works toward preparing Sinoe County’s team for the competition. The US$1,000 contribution is expected to provide financial support for those preparations once delivered.

The committee is expected to receive the money on Tuesday at Teahjay’s office in Paynesville.

Teahjay also urged other Sinoe citizens to contribute toward the county’s sporting efforts, emphasizing the importance of shared responsibility in preparing the team for the national competition.
