MONROVIA, Liberia — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. has formally commissioned Alexander Nah Sleweon as Superintendent of Sinoe County, reaffirming the administration’s confidence in his ability to lead the county’s affairs.
The commissioning ceremony took place Tuesday, September 8, at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia, bringing Sleweon into a renewed phase of his responsibilities as head of the county’s local administration.
The occasion marked an important moment for Sinoe County, as the Superintendent received an official mandate to continue coordinating government activities and working with stakeholders to address the needs of communities across the county.
Following his commissioning, Sleweon is expected to strengthen cooperation among local government authorities, traditional leaders, community representatives, citizens, civil society organizations, and development partners.
Key priorities include maintaining peace and stability, improving coordination of public services, supporting local development initiatives, and creating an environment where citizens can participate meaningfully in the county’s growth.
Sleweon expressed appreciation to President Boakai for the confidence placed in him and pledged to approach his responsibilities with commitment, transparency, and respect for the people he serves.
He also urged residents of Sinoe to unite behind efforts aimed at improving the county, stressing that meaningful progress would require the collective involvement of citizens, local leaders, government institutions, and development partners.
The Superintendent said his administration remains prepared to work closely with the national government in implementing programs that can improve living conditions, expand opportunities for young people, strengthen communities, and contribute to the overall development of Sinoe.
The Sinoe County Administration has welcomed the President’s renewed confidence in its leadership and pledged continued collaboration with national authorities and other stakeholders in advancing projects and initiatives consistent with Liberia’s broader development priorities.
The commissioning is therefore being viewed as both a recognition of Sleweon’s leadership role and a renewed call for stronger cooperation toward peace, good governance, and sustainable development in Sinoe County.
