MONROVIA, Liberia — The Director of the Agricultural and Industrial Training Bureau (AITB), Abraham Billy, has held strategic discussions with Orange Digital Center (ODC) Liberia aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration to advance digital innovation and strengthen Liberia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
The meeting focused on aligning digital innovation, foundation initiatives, and telecommunications services with the country’s ongoing efforts to transform technical and vocational education.
According to Billy, the engagement provided an opportunity to examine how industry expertise, digital solutions, and institutional collaboration could contribute to developing a skilled and competitive workforce.
He said stakeholders at the meeting commended the progress being made at AITB and across the broader TVET sector, particularly efforts to promote an inclusive and stakeholder-driven approach to transformation.
Billy emphasized that sustainable workforce development requires the active participation of industry experts, professionals, and academic institutions.
He stressed that these stakeholders must take leading roles in shaping skills development and preparing young Liberians to meet the evolving demands of the labor market.
The engagement underscores the importance of strengthening partnerships between training institutions and the private sector to expand opportunities for digital skills development, innovation, and technical education in Liberia.
The discussions signal an interest in exploring areas of cooperation between AITB and Orange Digital Center Liberia.
