Teahjay Donates US$1,000 to Sinoe County Meet Committee, Calls for Unity Behind County Team

Paynesville, Montserrado County, Liberia — Sinoe County District #3 Representative Aspirant Elijah B. Teahjay has donated US$1,000 to the Sinoe County Meet Steering Committee and called on Sinoeans to unite in support of the county’s team ahead of the National County Sports Meet.

Teahjay presented the donation on Tuesday at his office in Paynesville, Montserrado County, to support the committee’s ongoing preparations for the annual national sporting competition.

Speaking following the presentation, Teahjay stressed that unity and collective commitment among Sinoeans are essential to the county’s success, urging residents to put aside political differences and work together toward bringing the championship trophy to Sinoe.

“We must put Sinoe first in everything we do. Let us unite for the good of our county and not allow politics to divide our motherland,” Teahjay said.

The representative aspirant further called on well-meaning Sinoeans, both at home and abroad, to contribute financially or through other forms of support to strengthen the county’s preparations and help the team compete successfully.

He also urged the steering committee to maintain a cordial relationship with all Sinoeans and ensure that supporters from different communities and political backgrounds feel included in the process.

Teahjay emphasized that the county meet should serve as an opportunity to promote unity, strengthen relationships among citizens, and foster a shared sense of pride in Sinoe rather than become a platform for political division.

Meanwhile, Sinoe County Meet Steering Committee Chairperson Dennis Jarpeh applauded Teahjay for his contribution and expressed appreciation to other individuals who have supported the committee’s efforts.

Jarpeh’s remarks acknowledged the role of financial contributions and collective support in helping the committee prepare the county’s team for the competition.

The National County Sports Meet is a major sporting event that brings together Liberia’s counties in competition, providing an opportunity for athletes and supporters to represent their respective counties.

Teahjay’s donation and appeal for unity come as the committee continues efforts to mobilize support for Sinoe County’s participation in the sporting event.
