MONROVIA, Liberia — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., on Tuesday officially commissioned Hon. Mike T. Swengbe as Superintendent of River Gee County during a ceremony held at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia.
The commissioning officially empowers Superintendent Swengbe to assume his constitutional responsibilities as the chief administrative officer of River Gee County.
Following the ceremony, Superintendent Swengbe expressed gratitude to President Boakai for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to serve the people of River Gee County with dedication, integrity, and accountability.
“I want to thank His Excellency, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., for this honor and trust. I do not take it for granted,” Swengbe said.
He pledged to work diligently to ensure the successful implementation of the Government’s ARREST Agenda in River Gee County, with priority attention to agriculture, road infrastructure, education, healthcare, sanitation, tourism, and the promotion of the rule of law.
Superintendent Swengbe also reaffirmed his commitment to fostering unity, peace, and inclusive development across all districts of River Gee County. He said his administration will work closely with local authorities, traditional leaders, development partners, and citizens to accelerate development and improve the living conditions of the people.
His commissioning marks the beginning of a new chapter in the administration of River Gee County as he takes on the responsibility of advancing the government’s development agenda and addressing the needs of the county’s residents.
