MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Progressive Youth for Positive Change (PYPC), District #16 Chapter, has honored James L. Hinneh, President of the National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia, with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his outstanding commitment to expanding educational opportunities for children in the St. Paul’s Bridge Community.
The award, presented during a ceremony last Friday, acknowledges Mr. Hinneh’s leadership in launching the District #16 Financial Aid and Scholarship Fundraising Program, an initiative designed to assist thousands of underprivileged students in returning to school.
As part of his support, Mr. Hinneh donated L$100,000 and US$100, providing a significant boost to the campaign’s goal of enabling more than 3,000 school-going children to resume their education during the current academic year.
Speaking after receiving the recognition, Mr. Hinneh emphasized that investing in education is one of the most meaningful ways to build a stronger nation.
“This recognition is more than a certificate. It represents our shared commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of economic background, has the opportunity to receive an education and realize their full potential,” he said.
He reaffirmed his dedication to supporting initiatives that promote education, empower young people, and strengthen communities across Liberia, noting that sustainable national development begins with investing in the country’s human capital.
Mr. Hinneh also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Progressive Youth for Positive Change for the honor, commending the organization for championing programs that inspire hope, promote educational access, and encourage community participation in youth development.
The PYPC District #16 Chapter said the recognition reflects its appreciation for individuals whose leadership and generosity are making a tangible difference in the lives of young Liberians. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with partners and stakeholders to ensure that more children have access to quality education and greater opportunities for a brighter future.
