MONROVIA, LIBERIA — The United States Government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Liberia’s efforts to strengthen national security, law enforcement, and the rule of law.
U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Joe Zadrozny made the reaffirmation during a meeting with Liberia National Police Inspector General Gregory O.W. Coleman and Executive Protection Service Director Sam Gaye.
The meeting focused on strengthening security cooperation between the United States and Liberia, particularly as Liberia continues efforts to improve its law enforcement and legal institutions.
Chargé d’Affaires Zadrozny emphasized the importance of sustained partnership between the two countries, noting that stronger and more accountable security and justice institutions are essential to maintaining peace, stability, and public confidence.
He said the United States remains firmly committed to working with its Liberian partners as the country advances efforts to promote law and order and strengthen its legal and security institutions.
Zadrozny further stressed that an effective, just, and accountable legal system benefits not only Liberia but also contributes to broader regional stability and reinforces the longstanding relationship between Liberia and the United States.
The U.S. Embassy said it remains committed to working with the Government and people of Liberia on initiatives designed to strengthen national security, build institutional capacity, promote good governance, and support the country’s economic and social development.
The Embassy also reaffirmed its willingness to expand cooperation with Liberia in areas of mutual interest, particularly initiatives aimed at improving the security and overall well-being of both countries.
The engagement comes as Liberia continues to pursue reforms within its security and justice sectors, with international partnerships remaining an important component of efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and improve law enforcement.
Liberia and the United States share longstanding bilateral relations, with security cooperation, democratic governance, the rule of law, and development continuing to serve as important pillars of their partnership.
