DES MOINES, Iowa —Iowa has surpassed 300,000 total positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 1,550 new positive cases and 19 additional deaths Thursday. As of 10 a.m., the health department reported 301,442 total cases, 262,221 total recoveries and 4,251 total deaths since the pandemic began. The health department reported 299,892 total cases and 4,232 total deaths 24 hours earlier.
